COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Mud, mud, and more mud highlighted the
Tennessee Tech softball team’s Saturday morning, as the
Golden Eagles participated in the annual Habitat for Humanity Mud
Run at Cane Creek Park. The 5k race featured a variety of
challenging obstacles, capped off with the chance to get down and
dirty in a swim across the lengthy mud pit.
The Cookeville community showed up in full force at Cane Creek Park, as hundreds of participants took their shot at the grueling course. The softball team split into four teams, standing out amongst the droves of people with their unique costumes that included ninja turtles and superheroes.
The race itself saw children as young as 13 participate, as well as a number of Tech alums and current staff members.
