Bio
Jonathan Spach joined the Tennessee Tech Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2025.
Spach earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Middle Tennessee State University and his Master of Science in Advanced Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina. While completing his graduate studies, he gained extensive autonomous clinical experiences.
In his graduate assistant role, Spach oversaw athletic training services for South Carolina State University’s football team and both the men’s and women’s tennis programs. He also collaborated with the University of South Carolina’s football athletic training staff and supported the track and field team, assisting in the prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of student-athletes at the NCAA Division I level.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Spach grew up in Concord, NC, before moving to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he completed high school. Outside of athletic training, he enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, listening to podcasts, and playing cards. Spach has long-term professional goals to become a Head Athletic Trainer within the Division I collegiate setting.
