Bio

Murray Cunningham had to practically "beg" coach Don Wade and his staff for a chance to join the football team in 1972.  What followed was a career which landed him in the Hall of Fame, including a major role in the 1975 conference championship, a school-record of 198 career points, All-OVC honors twice, and a dozen conference or school records. He earned a spot on the roster and, after a redshirt season in 1972, he was Tech's mainstay for four seasons, leading up to a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL.
