Bio
Ron Filipek was a First-Team All-OVC selection in 1965-66 and again in 1966-67 and was named All-America by The Sporting News. He was selected to the Tennessee College All-Star team that played against a Kentucky All-Star team and was selected for the Gulf Oil Company team to represent the U.S.A. on a four-month tour of Europe. Filipek was an NBA fourth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia 76ers. He was selected to the New Jersey Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987.
