Bio
B. Holmes Neal was Tech's first nationally-recognized football star. He played tackle during the 1930s and lettered three seasons under coach Putty Overall. He received All-American honors and was elected as one of the team captains in 1939. During his four seasons, Neal helped Tech compile a 17-16-3 record. After leaving Tech, Neal joined NASA as an engineer and worked there until he retired in 1975.
