Volleyball workshops set for July for setters, hitters and defense
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Included in the camps and clinics being held at Tennessee Tech this summer, the month of July will feature three separate volleyball workshops. TTU head coach John Blair will host the trio of volleyball clinics on July 14 and 21, with each designed to focus on a particular aspect of the sport.
For serious players ages 13-18, the workshops are designed to give participants a concentrated dose of the fundamentals in all aspects of a volleyball match.
Saturday, July 14 will feature a pair of workshops that will focus on setting and defense, while the workshop Saturday, July 21, will feature hitting.
Pre-registration cost is $75 for each clinic, while the cost is
$85 if purchased on the day of the workshop. Attendees of two
workshops receive a $10 discount and participants in all three
workshops receive a $25 discount.
All participants must register in advance -- in order for the staff to prepare for the correct number of participants, no registration will take place on the day of the clinics.
Blair heads into his 10th season at the helm of the TTU volleyball program. In 2008, he was named the Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year after guiding the Golden Eagles to an OVC championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
