In 2008 (Junior): Katie tallied 558 digs to lead the OVC for the second-straight year while garnering OVC Defensive Player of the Year and All-OVC Second Team accolades...surpassed the Tech record for career digs, now topping the list with 1,885 career saves...earned OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice during the season...named to the Lady Cardinal All-Tournament Team after posting 55 digs in three tournament matches (18.3 digs/match)...set single-game career highs in assists (seven versus Furman on Sept. 13) and aces (four versus Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 1)...tallied a season-high 41 digs against Morehead State on Oct. 4...set the school record for digs in a three-set match with 33 against Austin Peay on Oct. 25...had a streak of 20 consecutive matches with double-digit digs...collected 10-or-more digs in 28 of 32 matches and 20-or-more digs in 10 of 32 matches.
In 2007 (Sophomore): The OVC leader in total
digs, Katie was four times named the OVC Defensive Player of the
Week...her two kills at Morehead State on Sept. 22 set her new
career number while also setting new high in digs in a three-game
match (22) and four-game match (38)....Katie was named to the
All-OVC second-team along with teammate Leah Meffert...played in
all 128 games for the Golden Eagles while collecting 755 digs
including a five-game match where she averaged 9.0 digs.
In 2006 (Freshman): Katie led the Golden Eagles
in digs in 2006, compiling 572 for the season, an average of 5.4
per game, ranking her fourth in the conference... chalked up 33
digs versus Morehead State on Nov. 10 and added 50 scoops, a
showing which led her to the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the
Week bid (Nov. 14)...tied her season high in the season finale
against Eastern Kentucky (11/11), recording 50 in the five-game
tilt... Led Tech in digs in 27 of 29 matches...closed her freshman
campaign earning a spot on the OVC Newcomer team alongside teammate
Amanda Lindgren.
In 2005: Suffered a knee injury during the
preseason and missed the entire 2005 season as a medical
redshirt.
Prep Highlights: Katie was a four-year volleyball
letterwinner and also lettered one season on the track team at
Norwell High School...under coach Suzanne Patterson, Kenline was
nominated Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team
all-conference and all-area honors her senior year. She was
also recognized as a member of the Norwell High 1,000-1,000
Club. As team captain in her senior year, the squad recorded
its best record in school history at 32-2. Playing for one of the
top five Junior Olympic teams in the country, Katie excelled under
club coach Mike Lingenfelter for the Team Munciana Samurai 18.
