Bloise joins the Tennessee Tech coaching staff as a graduate assistant following an extensive playing career. He will assist head coach Kenny Doyle with both the men's and women's programs.
Bloise, 50, played on the ATP Tour for a number of years, achieving a ranking as high as 520 in the world in doubles and 655 in singles. He also played on the ITF Senior Tour as recently as six years ago where he was ranked No. 5.
"Beto," as he is better known, graduated from the University of Utah in 1982 with a degree in business management before getting his master's degree in international business from the University of South Carolina in 1990. Currently, Bloise is going his graduate work at Tech for a second master's degree in psychology.
Bloise was a graduate assistant coach at Winthrop a season ago and helped lead the team to a conference championship.
