Tee Talk: Diana made a splash for the Golden
Eagles during her first two seasons, and became a regular on the
four-player tournament team as a junior...spent the off-season
improving her game and comes into 2009-10 with the look of a
champion...has the talent to climb to the top of the lineup and
could be in the running for medalist and all-tournament recognition
every time she tees it up...an Honors student in high school and
plenty of experience in golf...shows improvement on a daily
AT TECH -- In 2008-09: Diana finished her junior season with an average of 80.8 through 21 rounds of play...earned all-tournament honors with two Top Five finishes...low round of 70 was shot at Great Smokies Collegiate where she shot a 71-70--141 for the tournament...finished in a tie for fifth at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate...best finish was a third place at the Great Smokies Collegiate.
In 2007-08: Diana ranked second on the team in
her sophomore season with an average of 78.9 through 17 rounds of
tournament play...qualified to play in nine of Tech's 10 tourneys
and had more Top 20 finishes than any other player on the
squad...finished in the Top Five three times, and in the Top 10
three more...had Techs low round of the year, a one-under 71 at the
IPFW Fall Classic on her way to a tie for third place...shot
71-77--148..also tied for third at the rain-shortened APSU
Intercollegiate with a 75...best finish was a tie for second place,
also in a rain-shortened event, shooting a 78 at the Lady Racer
Classic...placed 19th at the OVC Championships.
In 2006-07: Diana earned a spot in Tech's lineup for all 13 tournaments and proved to be worthy of her qualifying status...had the fifth-best stroke average on the team at 82.4 through 31 tournament rounds...low round of 72 came on the second day of the 36-hole Great Smokies Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in her third collegiate event...finished at nine-over, tied for 38th place with 81-72--153...best finish of her rookie season came a week later when she shot 75-78-86--239, overcoming horrible weather on final day to place third overall and earn all-tournament honors at the EKU Colonel Classic...her other Top 10 finish was an eighth place showing of 83-81--164 at the rainy Lady Racer Classic (March 5-6).
High School: Lettering all four years at Campbell County High School, Diana placed second in the district tournament as a senior...helped her team place second in district and fourth in region...selected team captain under the coaching of Robbie Heatherly...played the No. 1 position all four seasons.
