Two Tech basketball players compete for TTU at Austin Peay Invitational

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Two members of the Tennessee Tech basketball team excelled in a different sport over the weekend for the Golden Eagles. Seniors Allison Price and Meagan Lyons competed for Tech’s track and field team at the Austin Peay Invitational.

Price notched a pair of sixth place finished in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. She finished the 100-meter dash in 12.99 seconds, and the 200-meter dash in 26.27 seconds.

Lyons took second place in the high jump, and finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles. Lyons cleared 1.58 meters in the high jump, and finished the 100-meter hurdles in 15.70 seconds.

The two will compete again on April 18 at the Murray State Invitational in Murray, Ky., before heading to the OVC championships May 1 and 2 in Richmond, Ky., hosted by Eastern Kentucky.
