High finishes for Lynn, Mayhew at TSU Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech seniors Katherine Lynn and Ashley Mayhew each had solid showings Saturday at the Ed Temple / Tennessee State Invitational in Nashville.

Lynn, the defending Ohio Valley Conference champion in the high jump, earned a third-place finish in that event, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 4.25 inches.

Mayhew (photo at right) placed fifth in the weight throw and sixth in the shot put. In the weight throw, she had a toss of 48 feet, 4.5 inches, while her shot put throw went 38 feet, 4.25 inches.
