Golden Eagles visit UNC Asheville for Sunday afternoon match

COOKEVILLE, Tenn – For the third time this season, the Tennessee Tech tennis team is traveling to North Carolina where they will face off against UNC Asheville Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. Tech's demanding non-conference schedule will come to a close at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

The UNC Asheville Bulldogs are 3-2 this season, possessing a dominant 6-1 win over Appalachian State, a team that beat the TTU 4-3 a month ago. Due to a schedule change, the Bulldogs are tasked with playing two matches this weekend as they face USC Upstate Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

Senior Syrym Adbukhalikov enters Sunday's match with a team-leading 5-1 record in singles play. Sophomore Artem Tarasov and junior Vasily Eremeev own a 4-2 record in doubles with an unfinished match coming against Tennessee in the season opener.
