In 2010-11 (Sophomore):
Arturo was 2-7 in singles matches and 2-3 in doubles for a combined 4-10 record in his second season with the Golden Eagles...played a couple of doubles matches in the fall season before a wrist injury forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the tournament schedule....returned in the spring and 2-2 in doubles when paired with James Crawford, including a 2-1 record in OVC matches...had success at No. 6 singles where he managed a 2-3 record.

In 2009-2010 (Freshman): Arturo went 8-5 overall in singles play including a 4-2 record in OVC contests...managed a 7-3 record in doubles matches, helping the Golden Eagles finish second in the standings 4-2 individual mark...won six of his last 10 matches...saw limited action in tournament play posting a 1-1 record in his two singles bouts.

Attended high school at Jontan School of Bogota, Colombia...played volleyball, ping pong and tennis...finished the year ranked No. 1 in his class...competed in and won national tournaments, as well as an international tournament in Germany.
