2012-13 (Junior): Ogbe started 28 games while
playing in all 29 contests… earned CoSIDA Academic
All-District honors… honored as the men’s basketball
President’s Award… led both the team and OVC in field
goal percentage, connecting on 61.3 percent of his shots from the
field… also finished first on the team in 3-point field goal
percentage with a mark of 40.6 percent... averaged double-figures
in scoring with 10.8 points per game, good for second on the
team… ranked second on the Tech squad and 14th in
the league in rebounding, ripping down 5.4 per contest…
blocked 1.0 shots per game, second highest mark on the team and
ninth best in the OVC… averaged 2.5 offensive boards per
contest to lead Tech and finish sixth in conference…
recorded his first career double-double at Tennessee State (Jan.
31), scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 boards… shot 70% or
better from the field in eight contests… scored in double
figures 17 contests, including 20+ points in two games…
posted a career-high 13 rebounds against Tennessee State (Jan. 3)
while also playing in a career-high 34 minutes… also saw 34
minutes of action against Morehead State (Mar. 2), scoring a
career-best 26 points off a career-mark five 3-pointers…
blocked a career-high five shots at Tennessee State (Jan.
31)… made a career-best three steals in Tech’s
last-ever Bracket Buster contest against Missouri-Kansas City (Feb.
23)... dished out a career-high three assists against
Crowley’s Ridge (Nov. 10)… made a career-best 10 field
goals against UT Martin (Feb. 21).
2011-12 (Sophomore): Ogbe played in 31
contests, making 20 starts… averaged 10.2 minutes per
game… scored 3.0 points per game while pulling down 1.5
boards per contest… averaged 0.3 assists, 0.2 steals, and
0.1 blocks per game… scored in double-digits twice, with a
season-high 11 points coming against East Tennessee State (Dec.
7)… dished out a season-best two assists and nabbed a
season-high two steals against Tennessee State (Jan. 5)…
made 20 consecutive starts from Dec. 3 to Feb. 9, racking up a
season-high 23 minutes against East Tennessee State (Dec. 7).
2010-11 (Freshman): Ogbe started four games
while playing in 30 games… finished third on the team while
shooting 80.0% from the charity stripe… averaged 10.1
minutes on the floor per contest… scored 3.5 points and
grabbed 1.8 boards per game… averaged 0.2 assists, 0.2
steals, and 0.2 blocks per game… put up double-digits in
points in three contests, with a career-high 18 against UT Martin
(Jan. 13)… also compiled a career-best 30 minutes and nine
rebounds against UT Martin (Jan. 13)… notched season-bests
in blocks and steals with two of each against Bluefield College
High School: Ogbe began his basketball career in
the second grade with the youth team of sports club TSV
Unterhaching, a small town near Munich... played for the club until
2007 when he joined the basketball club “Franken Hexer”
in Nuernberg... averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, and two steals
per game in the NBBL… selected to play in the All-Star Game
(the equivalent to the USA’s McDonald’s High School
All-Star Game), scoring 13... chipped in with 23 points and nine
rebounds in the NBBL Final Four contest.
