Muhammad and Davis to play in the 3rd Annual Music City All-Star Classic

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech senior guards Elijah Muhammad and Frank Davis are set to hit the court one more time this Saturday evening for the 3rd Annual Music City All Star Classic.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn.

The All-Star event will feature seniors from all divisions of Tennessee collegiate basketball in 3-point shooting and dunk contests, as well as in the all-star game.

Muhammad and Davis led the Golden Eagles in total minutes played on the floor this season, and both seniors averaged over 40% from the field and from behind the arc.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches selected Davis to the second-team All-District in March after he finished his season with an average of 13.4 points per game.  He led the Golden Eagles in 3-point field goals and ranks fourth in the Conference shooting 44.4% long range.  Davis ranks 11th in overall scoring in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Muhammad averaged 11.9 points per game, is ranked 13th in the conference in overall scoring, and led the Golden Eagles in assists and steals with an average of 4.5 and 1.4 respectively.   His assist stats place him at number two in the conference within that category.
