AT TECH (IN 2012): Darian played in eight games overall, but his true measure came in the final four games as a starter...during those four contests, he averaged 125 yards per game rushing and 188 yards per game passing with eight TD passes...overall, he finished with 553 yards on 89 carries and a touchdown, leading the team in rushing...in the pocket he completed 70-of-143 passes for 786 yards and 10 touchdowns...threw TD passes in six of his eight appearances, including a six-yard score at No. 4 Oregon...had a pass efficiency of 111.21...season-long pass was 79 yard completion in overtime win against UT Martin on Nov. 10, one of three touchdowns thrown that day...went 16-for-29 for career-high 277 yards against the Skyhawks and rushed for 190 yards on 25 carries to account for 467 yards of total offense, helping net him FCS National Offensive Player of the Week honors...in his first career start, he had 86 rushing yards and 77 through the air at Tennessee State, rushing for one TD and throwing for two more...had more than 100 yards both rushing and passing in each of the final three games.
(In 2011): Stone saw action in the first two games of the 2011 season...passed for 28 yards on a 3-for-4 effort, including a 22-yard bomb against Iowa on Sept. 3...threw for two yards against Maryville on Sept. 8...totaled 30 yards on the season passing, 80 yards rushing and one TD on three carries against Maryville...longest run of the season was 74 yards against Maryville...averaged 26.7 yards per rush over the season...logged a pass efficiency of 130.40 and averaged 55 yards of total offense per game.
(In 2010): Darian patiently sat out his first season on the roster as a redshirt, working with the scout team and learning the system.
HIGH SCHOOL: A game-breaking quarterback and a two-time All-State selection under coach Andy Shattuck at Clinton (Tenn.) High School...amassed more than 7,500 yards of total offense in his three seasons at the controls of the Dragons....took Clinton to a 10-0 regular season record as a senior, passing for 2,093 yards and 23 touchdowns with only two interceptions...also rushed for 725 yards and 10 scores on his way to first-team All-State laurels...Mr. Football finalist...finished his career with 5,734 yards and 59 touchdowns passing, along with 1,864 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground.
