Community will join with Tech Athletics for Communiversity Night Thursday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The business community in Cookeville and Putnam County will play a major role Thursday night in helping Tennessee Tech enjoy a strong home field advantage for the Golden Eagles opener against Hampton. Tech is hosting the annual Communiversity Night at the first home game of the season.

Every business in the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce has been invited to the game and has received a free ticket offer.

Communiversity Night is one of two special promotions surrounding the 7 p.m. game. It will also be First Tennessee Bank Poster Night. The Magic 98.5 Tailgate Park opens at 4 p.m.

Director of Athletics Mark Wilson and head coach Watson Brown will speak to the Chamber's "Breakfast Before Hours" gathering early Tuesday morning.
