A walk-on at Tech in the fall of 2012, Fletcher had a promising spring and is expected to bring depth to the runningback position.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football and track at Sullivan South High School. Named Offensive Player of the Year and first-team Southwest Virginia. Member of the Northeast Tennessee Elite Team and named first-team All-State 4A. Also featured in Lover of Tennessee Football Magazine. Ran for 1,500 yards his senior season on 200 carries for an average of 7.5 yards per carry. Also racked up 300 receiving yards that season. As a junior, he rushed for 953 yards and logged 2 00 yards in the air. Prior to an injury his sophomore year, he ran for 300 yards. A three-year starter at Sullivan South, Fletcher was named the Tri-city Player of the Week four times and helped his team to a 33-5 record over three seasons. His team won the MLC conference title four times, was the district winner his sophomore year and state semi-finalists his junior year. He helped the squad to a regional final his senior year.

PERSONAL: A transfer from East Tennessee State and native of Kingsport, Tenn., Fletcher was born March 1, 1991 to Gary Lynn and Melynda Dale Fletcher. He intends to major in Exercise Science at Tech with the intention of pursuing a career as a Physician's Assistant.
