IN HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport letterman at Columbia Central High School, Colton was a three-year starter for coach Vance Belew on the football team in addition to playing baseball and running track. A two-time 8AAA All-District selection, he helped the Lions capture two district crowns and the 2010 TSSAA Class 5A state championship in Tucker Stadium after a runnerup finish in 2009. As a two-way senior starter, he had 22 catches for 373 yards and two touchdowns as a wide receiver and made 51 total tackles including three sacks and added four interceptions from his safety spot on the defense.
