Wes came to Tech with loads of promise and high expectations after a sensational high school career at Brentwood Academy...lived up to expectations when he became a starter midway through the season...gained valuable experience in his rookie season and is prepared to help give the Golden Eagles plenty of depth up front in 2011...listed second among returnees on the depth chart heading into the season at right tackle...should be on the field for plenty of snaps...good quickness and adjust well on the field..fits nicely into Tech's fast-paced attack...solid in the classroom, earning a spot on the spring semester Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

AT TECH (In 2010): Wesley played in a backup role in four of the first five games of the season at right tackle...took over the starting assignment when Malcolm Jones was lost for the year...started the next five games...missed the final game against Jacksonville State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter in both sides of the line of scrimmage for coach Ralph Potter at Brentwood Academy...starting more than 30 career games for the Eagles, he helped post an 8-4 record in his senior season on his way to earning first-team all-Mid State honors from The Tennessean and All-State selection from TSWA...with Sherrill anchoring the lines, Brentwood Academy was the state Division II runnerup in both his sophomore and junior seasons and reached the semi-finals as a senior....hegraded out at 90 percent for the season and had 36 pancake blocks.
