Adam returned to Tech last year following a three-and-a-half
year stint in the U.S. Army, and will make his debut for the Golden
Eagles in the 2011 season where he is expected to see planty of
action at tight end...a 2005 graduate of Livingston Academy, he
originally attended Tech for a year-and-a-half (and worked in the
Sports Information office) before enlisting in the Army...back at
Tech for the 2010 Fall semester, he sat out his first season on the
roster...worked during the fall season with the scout team and was
in action for spring drills...has two seasons of eligibility
remaining.
AT TECH (In 2010): On the roster in 2010 but not
eligible to play...worked with the scout team.
BEFORE TECH: Spent three-and-a-half years in the
U.S. Army, including 18 months active duty downrange in
Iraq...achieved the rank of Corporal with the 844th Engineer
Battalion, and saw action in combat security and personal security
assigned to the 555th Engineer Company...now serving in U.S. Army
Reserves.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman at Livingston
Academy under coach Matt Eldridge, lining up at defensive end,
tight end and offensive tackle...twice named all-region and earned
all-state as a senior...three-year starter, he had 220 career
tackles for the Wildcats, helping compile a 35-14 record with
appearances in the TSSAA playoffs all three seasons.
PERSONAL: The son of Roger Hunter...birthdate is
July 20, 1987...full name is Adam Curtis Hunter...majoring in
sports administration.
