Cy joined the Golden Eagle roster a year ago and spent his first season as a redshirt...originally a quarterback coming out of high school, he made the transition to wide receiver in time to work at his new position for spring drills...was a wide receiver one season during his high school career...excellent size and deceptive speed...earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for spring semester.

At Tech (In 2010): Cy was a redshirt member of the squad in his first season at Tech.

HIGH SCHOOLl: A four-year letterwinner in both football and basketball, Cy was a standout for McMinn County High School...an Honor Roll student, he earned a handful of awards for his performance at quarterback for coach Bo Cagle...named Scholar-Athlete of the Week and also Scholar-Athlete of the Year...two-time Offensive Player of the Year and twice All-Region pick...served as team captain and helped his squad capture the 2009 district championship...named the District 5-AAA Quarterback of the Year after passing for 1,765 yards and rushing for another 559 yards...accounted for 2,324 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns...completed 62 percent of his passes on the way to a 9-3 season...was a wide receiver in his sophomore season, making 12 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown...career as a quarterback added up to 3,482 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, along with 839 rushing yards and seven TDs.
