Tommie moved from inside linebacker to the ram outside linebacker spot prior to spring drills and showed a great grasp of his new role...a young player with loads of potential for the next three seasons...hard-nosed and physical...the more he learns about the system, the better he gets...type of player who will be hard to keep off the field...gained solid experience in the middle of the action as a true freshman.

AT TECH (In 2009): Tommie was on the field in 10 games as a true freshman...played in a backup role at inside linebacker...also saw action on special teams...made nine total tackles...had three tackles against Austin Peay.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter and a four-year Honor Roll student, Tommie received All-League honors as a junior and senior at Taft High School...as a junior, he made 65 tackles with seven quarterback sacks, one interception, one fumble forced and one fumble recovery...named first-team all-Southwest Ohio and the CMAC Defensive Player of the Year...also received all-city and honorable mention all-state honors...as a senior, he raised his totals with 136 total tackles, which ranked second in the state...had six quarterback sacks, caused four fumbles and recovered one...his career totals include 235 tackles and 17 quarterback sacks..also lettered one season on the basketball team.
