Choccolocco Park, City of Oxford to Host 2017 and 2018 OVC Baseball Championships
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference Board of Directors of Athletics have approved a plan to move the OVC Baseball Championship to Oxford, Alabama for the next two years, beginning with the 2017 season. The first of those six-team, double-elimination tournaments will be held May 24-28 at Choccolocco Park.

Seventh inning rally leads Tech to 10-8 victory
For the second time in as many days the Tennessee Tech baseball team found itself in a deep hole against Cleveland State. But the end result was much different on Saturday as the Golden Eagles rallied with a seven-run seventh inning to clinch a 10-8 victory in the second game of a three-game set with the Vikings.

Tech pitchers fan 16 but fall 7-2 in home opener
Three Tech pitchers combined for 16 strikeouts, but Techs bats were quieted by Cleveland State pitcher Anthony Sambula as the Tennessee Tech baseball team fell to CSU 7-2 in the first game a three-game set on Friday evening.

Schedule changes announced for Saturday's action
A couple of schedule changes have been announced for the tennis matches and baseball game on Saturday at Tennessee Tech. The tennis matches are moving indoors at Fairfield Glade and the baseball game will begin an hour earlier at 1 p.m.

The 2010 college baseball season is quickly approaching, and the Tech baseball team has a lot to be excited for. The Golden Eagles will throw out the first pitch on Feb. 19, beginning a three-game series at Georgia Southern. Techs first home games comes the following weekend against Cleveland State.

A.J. Kirby-Jones named preseason All-American honors from Ping!Baseball
Tennessee Tech junior A.J. Kirby-Jones has been named a preseason All-American by Ping!Baseball for the upcoming 2010 baseball season. In two years as a Golden Eagle, Kirby-Jones has had a standout career at first base and on the mound for Tech, including a record-setting season in 2009.

Dennick makes professional debut with Burlington Royals
Former Golden Eagle pitcher Ryan Dennick made his professional debut Friday night, tossing three innings in relief for the Burlington Royals in a game at Johnson City. Dennick didn't get a decision in his first appearance, striking out four batters.
