COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After sweeping Murray State, the Tennessee Tech baseball team will look to keep things rolling as it continues Ohio Valley Conference play with a three-game series against Jacksonville State beginning Thursday.
Game one of the series is set for Thursday at 6:30, with game two set to follow Friday at 6:30 and game three Saturday at 1 p.m.
With its recent sweep of Murray State, the Golden Eagles (12-15, 4-2 OVC) now sit a three-way tie for second place in the OVC standings along with Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky.
Stephens drove in seven runs during TTU's last series, including five in the series finale against the Breds. In the second game, Burgess tied the game with a solo-shot in the bottom of the eighth and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
The Gamecocks (10-17, 4-2 OVC) enter the series after winning two of three against Morehead State. JSU is currently 3-7 at home, including a 9-1 loss to Troy in its last home game.
Ben Waldrip has provided a lot of the power for the Gamecock offense as he has knocked a team-leading eight home runs and has driven in a team-leading 25 RBI.
