COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After a quick stop at Kentucky, the Tennessee Tech baseball team returns home for its third home series of the season as it hosts the Evansville Purple Aces this weekend.
Game one of the series is set for Friday at 3 p.m., with the game two set for Saturday at 2 p.m. and game three for Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles are 4-1 all-time against the Purple Aces.
In their most recent game against #23 Kentucky, several Golden Eagles managed to notch some big hits including Evan Frazier, who tallied a three-run home run and Chad Hayes, who tallied a two-run double.
Evansville enters the weekend with a 7-5 record, including a recent 7-2 win over Western Kentucky Wednesday. UE has now won its last three games, which includes a win over Eastern Illinois.
Jason Mahon has driven in a team-leading nine RBI for the Purple Aces, while Eric Stamets has scored a team-high eight runs.
