LIVINGSTON, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech's Purple Pride Caravans have been heating up as of late and Tuesday's edition at Jerry's IGA in Livingston was no exception. How hot was it? Just ask Golden Eagle mascot Awesome Eagle (pictured right).
A huge turnout of Golden Eagle fans helped contribute to a fantastic social event as free food, Pepsi products, and prizes were enjoyed by all. The large quantity of people also put Awesome Eagle to work as he had plenty of fans begging for attention from the lovable Tech mascot.
Three lucky fans won drawings and received Tennessee Tech memorabilia, and one person qualified for the drawing to win a trip for two to the Tech-Wisconsin football game in the Golden Eagle Flyaway, sponsored by Kiss 98.5 FM.
After already making stops in Jamestown, Smithville, Cookeville, Carthage, and now Livingston, the Purple Pride Caravan still has trips to Crossville, McMinnville, and another in Cookeville before wrapping up at the Algood Walmart on Aug. 27, just two days before the Golden Eagle season opener in Tucker Stadium on Aug. 29.
