Tech fans swarm Walmart at Cookeville Purple Pride Caravan

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Golden Eagle fans arrived in droves at the latest installment of Tennessee Tech's Purple Pride Caravans, flooding the Cookeville Walmart in high anticipation of the start of the new year of athletics.

On the same day as the campus' Great Move In Day, Tech athletics, partnered with both Pepsi and 98.5 Kiss FM drew in the newest students at Tennessee Tech University with great music, free food, and entertainment by the Golden Eagle cheer and dance teams.

Three lucky fans won drawings and received Tennessee Tech memorabilia, and one person qualified for the drawing to win a trip for two to the Tech-Wisconsin football game in the Golden Eagle Flyaway, sponsored by Kiss 98.5 FM.

After already making stops in Jamestown, Smithville, the Cookeville Hometown IGA, Carthage, Crossville, McMinnville, Livingston, Sparta, and now the Cookeville Walmart, there reamins just one more Purple Pride Caravan for the 2013 year, the finale at the Algood Walmart on Aug. 27, just two days before the Golden Eagle season opener in Tucker Stadium on Aug. 29.
