CROSSVILLE, Tenn. - It was a perfect day to be outside Thursday and the community of Crossville made sure to take advantage of the great weather by producing a great turnout and interesting story line at Walmart at the most recent Purple Pride Caravan for Tennessee Tech athletics.
Golden Eagle fans came from all over the community to enjoy free hot dogs, Tech memorabilia, and Pepsi products while jamming to tunes provided by 98.5 Kiss FM.
Three lucky fans won drawings and received Tennessee Tech memorabilia, and one person qualified for the drawing to win a trip for two to the Tech-Wisconsin football game in the Golden Eagle Flyaway, sponsored by 98.5 Kiss FM.
As fate may have it, two of the day's prize winners turned out to be neighbors, shedding a light on the neighborly attitude provided by all at the event.
After already making stops in Jamestown, Smithville, Cookeville, Carthage, Livingston, McMinnville, and now Crossville, the Purple Pride Caravan has only two more stops including another in Cookeville before wrapping up at the Algood Walmart on Tuesday, Aug. 27, just two days before the Golden Eagle season opener in Tucker Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 29.
