Ticket Update: Less than 1,000 tickets available for Saturday games

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- A purple storm of support appears to be brewing for Saturday night inside Tennessee Tech's Eblen Center where the Golden Eagles will host Murray State in an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader.

Fans are encouraged to wear purple to the game, and it looks like there will be an awful lot of Golden Eagle fans in the stands.

At the close of business Wednesday, the Tech Athletics Ticket Office reports that less than 1,000 tickets remain on sale for the games. All of the lower bowl reserved seats are sold out. All remaining tickets on sale are for non-reserved seating in the upper bowl of the arena.

The ticket office will be open Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the tickets that remain on sale to the public, about 400 student tickets are still available for TTU students. Tech has already issued more than 1,200 student tickets, meaning the lower bowl student seating is filled up. An additional 400 seats will be for student seating in the upper bowl. All student seating will be available Saturday when the gates are open on a first-come, first-served basis for students holding tickets.

Tech students can pick up tickets either at the Athletics Ticket Office, or at the Roaden University Center lobby Thursday from 11 a.m. until noon.

Gates will open Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and the ticket office will be open at 4 p.m.

The women's game is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m., with the four Golden Eagle seniors (Brittany Darling, Krystal Stirrup, Rachel Glidden and Tacarra Hayes) will be honored at 5:20 p.m.

The men's contest against the No. 12 Racers is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tech's six senior members of the men's squad (Riley Hunley, Kevin Murphy, Bassey Inameti, Zac Swansey, Zach Bailey and Liam McMorrow) wil be recognized 10 minutes prior to tipoff of the second game.
