After completing his playing career as a runningback with the Golden Eagle football squad, Adam Urbano has made the move to the Athletic Performance Center where he serves as a Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. The Tech athletic teams he will be working with directly include football, soccer, and tennis.
A Calhoun, Ga. native, Urbano was a running back on Tech's football team during the 2011 and 2012 seasons after transferring from Georgia Southern University. He made his first start as a Golden Eagle versus the University of Iowa in 2011, recording 27 yards on five carries and eight receiving yards. He finished the 2011 season with 475 rushing yards and 95 receiving yards. In 2012, he ran for 382 yards and added 140 receiving yards.
Urbano graduated from Tech in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, and plans on getting is masters in Sports Management.
Urbano is part of head strength coach Casey Kramer's Athletic Performance Staff.
