Casey Scarlett, a native of Crossville who recently received her degree from Tennessee Tech, joined the Athletics staff at her alma mater in May, 2013. She is a Marketing and Promotions Coordinator in the department's Corporate Sales and Marketing office.

Scarlett, 21, graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She will begin work this fall toward a master's degree in sports marketing.

Among the duties in her new position, Scarlett will organize the official football tailgating events, promote athletic events on campus and throughout the community, assist in coordinating season ticket sales efforts, and manage promotional efforts at all men’s and women’s home basketball games.

While at the university, she was a College of Business Ambassador and served as the Marketing Club president, an official campus organization that she helped revive after several dormant years.

During her six semesters at Tech, she also completed four internships. Her first internship was with Unifirst a uniform company where she assisted in new account acquisition and developed an organization system to streamline the initial contact process and increase efficiency. She also interned with Roland Advertising where she did billboard sales and ad design.

The other two internships were through the College of Business. The first came with the Student to Career Program in the Student Success Center, where she planned three annual events for the university and community, assisted in resume and job preparation techniques for students and maintained the Student to Career website. The final internship was with the Business Media Center where she worked with Power of Putnam, a local coalition that works together to develop strategies to reduce substance abuse in the Upper Cumberland. She renovated the organization's website, created short informational videos, unified their social media platforms and regulated the email system.

Outside of the university, she serves on the fundraising and building committee for the Habitat for Humanity WomenBuild Program and also works with the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce to promote the area and volunteers at community events. She has been a Habitat volunteer for the past three years.

With the Chamber, she has helped develop a line of Cookeville merchandise to supply products for sale that promote Cookeville and the surrounding areas in the Highlands Visitor Center.  She has helped bring in new products ranging from drink-ware to clothing to postcards.

A 2010 graduate of Stone Memorial High School in Crossville, she was a four-year starter for the Lady Panther softball team. She is the daughter of Darwin and Vicky Scarlett of Crossville. Her brother, Eric, recently graduated from Tech.
